OPPD Works Towards Zero Incidents with Vector EHS

Omaha Public Power District (OPPD) is a public electric utility serving more than 369,500 customers in Omaha and 13 surrounding counties in southeast Nebraska.

Vector Solutions worked with OPPD to implement incident, near miss and observation reporting OPPD to focus on risk factors to reduce incidents.

The Challenge

OPPD desired one safety management system to track, analyze and report on its fragmented safety data. OPPD wanted to create a safety culture that rewarded its 2000 employees for reporting near misses, good catches, and behavior based safety observations and require an easy to use software tool to enable this reporting.

The Choice

Working with Vector Solutions, OPPD was able to configure Vector EHS modules to allow for easier reporting and analysis of near misses, good catches, injury prevention, and observations. And they were able to easily scale this across their operations.
